Everyday London, from Piccadilly Circus to Camden, set to the sounds of Andalusia: bulerías, bar chatter, family televisions and Lola Flores. It is a film about carrying home with you, and how an immigrant’s memories blend into a new city. It closes with friends who don’t speak Spanish reciting Lorca’s “Es verdad”, the poem that gives the film its title: the effort of explaining why you love a place.
